Membership
Membership is limited to full-time, P.O.S.T. certified peace officers employed by a state, county, or city agency in Georgia recognized by the Georgia P.O.S.T. Council.
Members of the POAB Fund accumulate service to obtain a pension. Once a member meets the Vesting Requirements with the Fund, they become eligible to draw a pension.
Employees of a privately funded organization are not eligible for membership.

Full-time, P.O.S.T. certified peace officers employed by a state, county, or city agency in Georgia that is recognized by the GA P.O.S.T. Council are eligible for membership.
Employees of a privately funded organization are not eligible for membership.
“Full Time” means regularly working a minimum of 30 hours per week or 120 hours per 28-day period for a state, county, or municipal, Georgia P.OS.T. recognized agency.
Service is transferrable for all qualified positions (state and local).
