S.B. 249 Has Passed

With its passage, membership dues for all active POAB members is increased to $25 per month effective July 1, 2020.

This dues increase was necessary to offset the increase made to the monthly retirement benefit rate.  The new benefit rate is effective July 1, 2021 for all retirees.  The benefit rate will change from $25.15 to $30 for each year of service in the fund, up to 30 years.

If you are currently paying your dues via automatic draft from your bank account, you do not need to make any changes.  We will draft $25 per month on the 10th of each month.  If you pay dues by personal check/money order please send in $25 per month beginning in July 2020.  If you have already paid $20 for July or prepaid for the entire year, please send in an additional $5 for any prepaid month to stay current.
