Start My Pension
Are you retiring from law enforcement?
We will need to know the following information:
- Contact Information
- Date of your last day of employment
- The birth date of your spouse.
Remember that you must be (1) leaving law enforcement; (2) have 10 years Fund membership if joined before July 1, 2010 or 15 years Fund membership if joined after July 1, 2010; and (3) be 55 OR have 30 years service credit with the Fund if you retire from law enforcement before turning 55. If you joined before July 1, 2009 your may still qualify under the "30/55" law which allows a member who is 55 AND has 30 years service to continue to work and draw the pension. This law is no longer in effect for anyone joining after July 1, 2009, but if you think you qualify call to be sure.
IT IS THE MEMBER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT OUR OFFICE WHEN ELIGIBLE TO START THE PENSION.
